Police Officer
The City of West Linn is seeking individuals to join our team of dedicated and caring law enforcement professionals as a Police Officer. The City of West Linn Police Department (PD) believes in community-based policing and seeks involvement with all community programs, civic groups and neighborhood associations. Police Officers may receive up to 22% in incentives in addition to the base salary.

This position performs law enforcement work as necessary to maintain public peace and order, to protect life and property and to prevent crime. Federal, State, and local laws and ordinances are enforced while performing both patrol and investigative activities. Public relations and crime prevention activities are an integral part of this job's responsibilities.
National Testing Network scores and Personal History Questionnaire required for applicants. Applicants must submit test scores and a completed (PHQ) Personal History Questionnaire through NTN, along with a completed City of West Linn application by the closing date in order to be considered for the position. Failure to submit the information may result in an automatic disqualification. Education : Must have a high school diploma or GED Certificate (An associate degree from an accredited college or university is preferred / desirable.) Must obtain basic certification from the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) within one year from time of appointment. Up to 22% pay incentives possible at time of appointment. Experience as reserve who has successfully completed DPSST certified reserve academy training; or as a civilian, military law enforcement officer with a minimum one (1) year experience; or equivalent experience as determined by the hiring authority is a plus. Must be 21 years of age and a U.S. citizen and possess a valid Driver's License at time of appointment and a good driving record required.
