Position Type / Expected Hours of Work :

This is a part-time position that works on average less than 20 hours a week. Additional hours may be required. This position is expected to be offsite spending most of the time out in the community. Days and hours will vary based on planned community events. Due to the nature of the position, must be able to work some nights, weekends, and / or holidays based on the needs of the program; schedule may vary based on agency needs at the discretion of the direct supervisor and / or CEO.

This is a grant funded position, guaranteed through the end of August 2024, but may continue after.

Summary :

The Community Recreation Aide is responsible in assisting the Community Services Manager in the overall administration, coordination and reporting for LARC and Senior Programs.

Travel :

Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% for meetings, trainings and conferences. Total travel expected to be less than 10%. Company vehicle is not supplied; use of personal vehicle required unless transporting participants.

Work Environment :

This position works in close proximity to people. While the majority of the work day is spent out in the community, employees in this position may work in an office setting. Employees must be comfortable working outdoors in all seasons for short periods of time e.g. assisting participant’s into a vehicle, taking participants on outings, etc.

Physical Demands of the Job :

Light work. No more than 20 pounds with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
