VLinc is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Contract Manager to oversee the execution and administration of one or more contracts across varied service areas, including engineering, logistics, training, cybersecurity, and advisory support. The Contract Manager will serve as the central point of contact for government and industry clients while ensuring compliance, performance, and internal coordination throughout the contract lifecycle. This role balances strategic oversight with day-to-day operational execution, supporting both VLinc's mission and its clients' objectives in dynamic and often fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities
Client and Contract Management :
- Serve as the primary interface with the government or commercial client on all contractual matters.
- Lead contract kickoff meetings, performance updates, and routine customer communications.
- Monitor and report on contract performance, compliance, deliverables, staffing, and schedules.
Operational Oversight :
Track deliverable submissions, milestone completions, and funding status across one or more contracts.Maintain full awareness of all contract terms and conditions, ensuring performance aligns with FAR / DFARS and client expectations.Coordinate onboarding, compliance training, security clearances, and credentialing for contract personnel.Internal and External Coordination :
Collaborate with HR, finance, legal, technical leads, and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution.Maintain accurate staffing rosters, subcontractor tracking, and invoice support documentation.Submit routine reports to clients and internal leadership, including CPARS inputs, CDRLs, or contract data calls.Risk Management and Problem Resolution :
Proactively identify and resolve issues related to scope creep, underperformance, or customer dissatisfaction.Recommend course corrections and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.Serve as escalation point for contract-specific personnel issues or performance concerns.Business Development Support :
Support proposal preparation for recompetes, modifications, and new business opportunities.Assist in reviewing solicitations, gathering past performance data, and building compliance matrices.Collaborate with technical and pricing teams to ensure proposal alignment with contract execution realities.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Program / Contract Management, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years' experience managing federal or commercial contracts of varying complexity.Strong working knowledge of the contract lifecycle, including FAR / DFARS, IDIQs, CPFF, FFP, and T&M contract types.Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractor relationships.Proficiency with reporting tools and systems such as Excel, SharePoint, or other contract tracking platforms.Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and time-management skills.Preferred Qualifications
PMP, CFCM, or other professional certification in project or contract management.Prior experience supporting government clients such as DoD, DHS, DOE, or VA.Familiarity with government contract management portals and systems (e.g., SAM.gov, PIEE, CPARS, Symphony).Experience managing Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or small business set-aside contracts.Work Environment and Conditions
T his is a hybrid or remote position, with periodic on-site travel required for client meetings, site visits, and internal team coordination. The role involves managing fast-moving deliverables and adapting to evolving requirements while maintaining a high standard of compliance, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
