Position Overview
The Estimator is responsible for accurately assessing project costs and preparing detailed estimates for commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers and clients to ensure that project specifications are met and budgets are adhered to, while identifying potential areas for cost savings and efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
Review project drawings and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.Conduct site visits to gather data for estimating and assess project feasibility.Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and objectives.Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and pricing for materials and labor.Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to provide competitive project bids.Identify and mitigate potential risks and discrepancies in project specifications.Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and product availability.Produce and present comprehensive bid proposals to clients.Qualifications
3+ years of experience in estimating within the commercial construction industry.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.Strong communication and negotiation abilities.Experience with stucco, siding, and waterproofing projects is a plus.Benefits
