Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. PVBH is an 84-bed, short-term, acute care hospital offering inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for chemical dependency. PVBH has an excellent reputation as an innovative hospital with caring, dedicated staff, experienced in the delivery of behavioral healthcare. Situated in Tucson, AZ, at the base of the Catalina Foothills, PVBH is minutes to Saguaro National Park and the University of Arizona.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic intake counselor / clinician. This position is responsible for serving as the initial contact for patients and referral sources, providing therapeutic clinical assessments, documentation, appropriate DSM-V diagnoses, determining and coordinating ongoing clinical needs, and consulting with the hospital psychiatrist to determine disposition. The clinicians conduct in-person clinical assessments, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
This opportunity offers the following :
Qualifications
Education : Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology or Human Services field, licensed RN or Masters in Social Work.
Experience : Clinical assessment, evidence-based therapeutic modalities, as listed in job description. Familiarity with psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting.
Licensure / Certification Required : Licensure through the Board of Behavioral Health, or RN licensure, preferred.
