The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care needs to ensure optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction. The role requires collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and support staff to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in a fast-paced Med-Surg environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n
- Provide and coordinate patient care according to professional nursing standards and hospital policies.\n
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.\n
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.\n
- Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians.\n
- Respond to life-saving situations using nursing standards and critical thinking.\n
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.\n
- Educate patients and families on health management and treatment plans.\n
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in the electronic health record.\n
- Adhere to infection control and safety policies at all times.\n
- Participate in unit-based meetings and quality improvement initiatives.\n\nRequired Qualifications : \n
- Current RN License : \n
- Must have a current FL RN license or a Compact RN License (must apply for a Florida license if selected).\n
- Certifications : \n
- BLS certification required (must be current).\n
- Experience : \n
- Must have acute care RN experience.\n
- Acute care experience does not have to be specifically in Med-Surg.\n
- If the candidate has 3+ years of RN experience, the acute care experience can be within the last 5 years.\n
