The Academy Charter School seeks a dedicated Upper Elementary Music Teacher for grades 3-5.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum for grades 3-5, aligning with New York State Arts Standards.
• Grade 3 : Focus on general music education, emphasizing vocal development, music notation, and introductory recorder instruction.
• Grades 4-5 : Lead instrumental programs introducing wind, brass, and percussion instruments, building foundational playing techniques and music reading skills.
• Utilize technology and multimedia tools to enhance music instruction.
• Plan and organize student performances, such as recitals and school events, to provide practical experience and build stage confidence.
