Job Description

As a Security Professional - Aero Defense Patrols FT in Norfolk, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero / Defense, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within an aerospace and defense location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. Your visible presence and routine patrols will foster a welcoming atmosphere while providing outstanding customer service and communication. This role is ideal for those who value teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach, and who are eager to contribute to a reliable and innovative company culture.

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activities within the location to help to deter potential threats and report unusual circumstances.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to support a secure environment.
  • Document incidents, observations, and / or daily activities accurately as required by site procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and / or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
