Overview
Senior IT Manager Business Solutions – Supply Chain – Memphis, TN. Global Cellulose Fibers (GCF) is seeking an experienced IT Senior Manager to lead global supply chain applications as the business transitions to independent IT operations. This role serves as Service Owner, responsible for strategy, delivery, and performance across a complex application landscape. The ideal candidate will develop and execute IT strategy aligned with global supply chain objectives, ensuring operational excellence across a large portfolio of applications supporting 7 sites, 3,000+ users, and a $6–10MM annual budget.
Strategic Leadership & Service Ownership
- Develop and execute a transition plan to establish independent IT services using internal and third-party resources.
- Serve as the Service Owner for supply chain applications, accountable for the full lifecycle : strategy, design, transition, operations, and continuous improvement.
- Define and maintain a strategic roadmap for application modernization aligned with business needs.
AMS / MSP Partnership Enablement
Evaluate, identify, and implement services enabled by third-party AMS / MSP organizations.Define service scope, performance expectations, and governance models.Integrate AMS / MSP capabilities into GCF's IT operating model.SAP Transformation & Platform Evaluation
Lead the planning and execution of a short-term TSA exit approach and a multi-year transformation from ECC, APO, SCEM, and CRM to SAP's modern digital supply chain solutions or alternative platforms.Evaluate and compare SAP and competing solutions based on functionality, cost, scalability, and business fit.Partner with stakeholders and vendors to define scope, architecture, and deployment strategy.Lead the transition of support and ownership for a homegrown MES system from IP to GCF and third-party providers.Assess MES system fit within GCF's future supply chain architecture and transformation roadmap.Ensure continuity of MES operations and alignment with manufacturing site needs.Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and deliver application capabilities.Manage relationships with external service providers to ensure delivery quality and compliance.Service Performance & Governance
Establish and monitor SLAs, OLAs, and KPIs to ensure service reliability and user satisfaction.Lead incident, problem, and change management processes.Use analytics and feedback to drive service enhancements.Champion a culture of continuous improvement across service delivery.Financial & Compliance Management
Own the financial performance of the service portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Hire, lead, and develop a high-performing IT team with a service-oriented mindset.Promote knowledge sharing and operational excellence across internal and external teams.Skills & Qualifications
10–15+ years in IT management, application strategy, or solution delivery.Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.Proven leadership in ERP transformation, especially SAP ECC, ECC on Rise, S / 4HANA and / or competing platforms.Experience managing supply chain applications and transitioning legacy systems.Strong understanding of global supply chain operations, including U.S. export logistics and international trade.Effective in vendor management, contract negotiation, and service oversight.Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.Technical understanding of MES systems, software development, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.Financial acumen in budgeting, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis.Experience building and leading high-performing IT teams in lean environments.Benefits
