Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver medical / surgical supplies, instruments and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Clean, package, and process surgical equipment and instrumentation and scopes; maintain inventory and storage of supplies in the sterile core.
• Communicate the need for development of case cart requisitions and assist with opening sterile trays or items as needed under the direction of the operating room team.
• Practice aseptic technique and support the operating room team as required; demonstrate knowledge of clinical applications and surgical technology; use medical / computer applications.
• Work in compliance with standards established by The Joint Commission, AAMI, HSPA, AORN, OSHA, DOT, WHO, FDA, EPA and HIPAA.
