CVOR Registered Nurse Job Details Location : Columbus, Ohio 43205 (Ohio nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : Pediatric Surgical Heart Operating Room (CVOR) Assignment Type : Locum tenens, travel RN contract Start Date : October 13, 2025 End Date : January 12, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 4x10-hour day shifts (07 : 00 – 17 : 00) Hours per Week : 40 On-Call : 1 weekend per month and 1-2 weeknights per week (8-9 days / month) Patient Population : Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults Daily Census : 2-3 surgical cases per day Charting System : Epic EMR Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2,500–$2,560 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or Compact State (Ohio RN jobs) BLS and PALS certifications required Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience (adult or pediatric CVOR) At least 1 completed travel nurse assignment in CVOR Experience with Epic electronic medical records Willingness to float to other hospital units as needed Must provide 2 professional references (one manager or supervisor) No permanent employment at this facility within the past 2 years Not accepting local candidates within a 60-mile radius of Columbus, OH CVOR RN Responsibilities Deliver expert nursing care in the pediatric CVOR, supporting complex cardiac surgical procedures Assist anesthesia during induction and provide clinical support to the surgical team Demonstrate proficiency in CVOR skills : arterial switch operation, ASD / VSD repair, ECMO insertion / decannulation, valve repair / replacement, and more Ensure infection control, proper specimen handling, and regulatory charting for transplants Participate in on-call rotation as required by the healthcare facility Float to other units as needed to support patient care and clinical operations Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide holistic patient care Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel CVOR Registered Nurse in Columbus, Ohio, and make a lasting impact in pediatric cardiac care!
