About The Position
Weekly Pay $46.67 / hour Occupational Therapist at Jacksonville Rehabilitation Hospital
- Provide occupational therapy services to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, focusing on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) with potential additional shifts on Mondays and Fridays.
- Evaluate patients recovering from strokes, neurological disorders, orthopedic injuries, and other complex medical conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to improve patient function, foster independence, and support safe discharge planning.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions to restore activities of daily living (ADLs) and cognitive-motor skills.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team for cohesive, patient-centered care.
- Accurately document patient assessments, progress, and discharge information in a timely manner.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safe practices for continued progress.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements in all therapy practices.
- Maintain current Occupational Therapist licensure in Florida and BLS certification.
- Preferably have at least one year of inpatient rehab or acute care OT experience.
- Exhibit strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced inpatient environment.
- Day shift position, primarily weekends, with occasional weekday needs based on patient census.
