Assist the store manager in areas of sales, appearance, and overall operations of the store. The objective is to receive hands-on training preparing a manager in training for a management position in another store or future location. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
Essential Job Functions
- Supervise the professional and retail operations of the store and team members involved, including professional delivery and installer service specialists and retail parts and merchandising specialists.
- Supervise all team members assigned to the store / HUB store; work with district and store managers in recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining and discharging staff; communicate information from team weekly and monthly managers' meetings to all team members.
- Train new team members; conduct performance evaluations and recommend pay increases.
- Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to select qualified team members.
- Support the store manager with the assistant management team to ensure safety compliance and that all team members receive appropriate training; monitor and reinforce safety expectations.
- Make sales calls with or without the store manager; may be assigned a schedule for weekly customer calls.
- Support store operations as assigned and ensure the delivery fleet is maintained with records kept for each vehicle.
- Ensure staff keeps the store / HUB store neat, clean, and organized; learn and utilize electronic scheduling, clocking, and payroll entry functions.
- Learn to manage key components of gross profit; monitor returns for core and warranty abuse; review price matches and price overrides for proper use; review daily KPI dashboard and monthly P&L with the store manager to discuss opportunities.
