The Marketing & Community Engagement team at WSU Tech is seeking a talented, detail oriented, deadline-driven, creative, and self-motivated Visual Designer! Under the direction and supervision of the Manager of Creative Services, the Visual Designer will be tasked with numerous design projects to attract leads, announce new programs and events, enhance our website effectiveness with aesthetics, communicate both internal and external marketing clearly, and commit to upholding our WSU Tech Visual Standards in every project. Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to :

• Execute a wide range of design projects from concept to final production.
• Design content and graphics that represent all areas of the college and support the WSU Tech brand(s).
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking to develop creative solutions that meet the colleges needs.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external partners to develop marketing collateral.
• Meet all project deadlines by starting and completing assignments on time.
• Accept direction and feedback professionally and work toward the best creative outcomes.
• Maintain consistency with WSU Techs brand voice across all assigned work.
• Support marketing campaigns and events as needed.
• Engage in professional development and continuing education to enhance performance and skills.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of digital creative platforms, design software, and industry best practices.
• Improve department efficiency by adapting quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Contribute to a positive work environment by communicating and interacting respectfully with students, customers, coworkers, and management.

Requirements

Education :

Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, or a related field is highly preferred.

Preferred Experience & Skills :

Proven professional experience (a minimum of 2-4 years) in visual design, preferably in a marketing or advertising environment, showcasing a strong portfolio of work.

Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

A progressive work history as demonstrated by a strong online and / or print portfolio exhibiting top-quality work for both web and print, required.

Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.

Experience in utilizing web and social media tools to achieve business objectives, preferred.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines with strong organization skills, required.

Ability to deal with diverse and flexible situations in a busy environment.

Knowledge of Photography with DSLR cameras, preferred.

Experience in dimensional design, including but not limited to vehicles, large transportation, facilities, fixtures, etc., preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.

Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
