About The Position

Job Title : Charge Registered Nurse

Experience : 2 years required, level 1 trauma and neuro required, 3-4 years preferred

License : Compact license or single state license accepted

Certifications : BLS required, CNOR preferred

Must-Have :

• Charge experience required
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma center required
• Circulate skills required

Description :

This position includes charge shifts approximately 2-4 times per month.

Occasionally, weekend days either Saturday or Sunday may need to be covered.

Holiday time off restrictions apply.

Travelers can request time off for 1 of 3 major holidays, plus 3 additional non-holiday days.

Christmas coverage is highly preferred.

The unit is a 25-bed Level 1 Trauma Center.

Daily patient census is around 60-70 cases.

The unit is focused heavily on orthopedics, spine, and neuro cases.

No cardiac or transplant cases will be handled.

Staffing and scheduling are flexible, with retained responsibilities for charge roles.

RNs expected to be adaptable to scheduling changes.

Travelers may need to demonstrate experience with specific surgical procedures.

Candidates must have EPIC charting experience.

References should ideally be from supervisory roles.

Travelers should anticipate possible contract extensions.
