Overview
Cimarron is seeking a senior-level Architect to support the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of the Sentinel (formally GBSD) program. Cimarron provides engineering and technical support to Bechtel for the design, construction, and integration of the Sentinel launch systems at locations including Vandenberg AFB, CA; F.E. Warren AFB, WY; Malmstrom AFB, MT; and Minot AFB, ND. Sentinel is a vital US Air Force program that will recapitalize the nation\'s aging ground-based leg of the nuclear triad - the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). This is an on-site opportunity in the Ogden area with a 9X80 work schedule (every other Friday off) and potential relocation considerations.

Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of architectural design work, including layouts, drawings, and specifications.Analyze design challenges, develop solutions, and evaluate unconventional materials, techniques, and coordination requirements.Prepare conceptual studies, designs, reports, proposals, cost estimates, quantity take-offs, forecasts, and change orders.Perform building code analyses, compliance reviews, 3D modeling, renderings, and constructability reviews.Coordinate architectural efforts with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, clients, vendors, contractors, and construction teams.Prepare equipment and material specifications, procurement documents, bid evaluations, and award recommendations.Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and coaching to other architectural personnel and project subgroups.Support construction activities by reviewing field change requests, nonconformance reports, and regulatory / code issues.Lead and participate in technical discussions with clients, suppliers, and construction representatives.Required / Desired Skills, Experience, and Education

Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver\'s license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire.Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include testing for marijuana use.5 or more years of related experience.Prior experience in facility design / layout, building code analyses, and Revit modeling / renderings.Proficiency with CADD applications (Revit) and Microsoft Word and Excel.Thorough knowledge of engineering deliverables, including drawings, specifications, material requisitions, and construction methods.Understanding of work processes across multiple disciplines and departments.Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly express technical issues.Ability to resolve design issues collaboratively with subordinates, suppliers, other engineering disciplines, construction, and clients.Registered Architect in the US.Bachelor\'s degree in Architecture or a related field from an accredited program.Desired Skills, Experience, and Education
