Master Stylist

Overview

We are seeking a Master Stylist at Ulta Beauty. The Master Stylist is responsible for engaging with guests, consulting on hair care needs, and recommending products and services. Delivers quality professional services with an emphasis on the guest's total look. Supports the Experience Manager (SM) and Assistant Services Manager (ASM) through a focus on performance (service sales and productivity), people (guest service), and process (operating procedures and compliance standards). A passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and the ability to learn and communicate product knowledge are required.

General Summary & Scope

The Master Stylist engages with guests, consults on hair care needs, and delivers services with quality and professionalism. Responsibilities include supporting managers and contributing to service sales, guest service, and operational procedures.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

(Essential Functions) The Master Stylist performs duties in line with Ulta Beauty's mission, vision, and values and may be assigned additional projects / duties as needed :

• Perform hair services including design, cuts, color, texture, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup applications, and ear piercing (where applicable).
• Meet or exceed sales goals and productivity targets for hair services and contribute to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and shrink control as defined by Ulta Beauty.
• Demonstrate products to drive sales and enhance guest service experience.
• Support in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services; be knowledgeable about ingredients and benefits to better serve guests.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.

Pay range for this position is the higher of $16.35 - $22.90 per hour or services pay for the workweek, with compensation based on education, qualifications, experience, and location. Eligible associates may earn overtime and tips.
