This posting is to recruit two (2) Office Assistant (OA3) positions. Our Prorate and Fuel Tax Services (PRFT) unit within the Business and Professions Division (BPD) currently has an opportunity for two (2) organized and customer-focused Office Assistants. Washington's infrastructure requires considerable investment to ensure residents and visitors have safety, comfort, and simplicity as they move around the state. PRFT administers the state's fuel tax collection programs, as well as the International Registration Plan (IRP) and International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA), collecting almost $2 billion in annual revenue for the state's transportation programs.

As an Office Assistant, having excellent interpersonal communication skills will be key as you will be working closely with a diverse team. This on-site role is in office full time, but may allow for some remote work. While understanding the importance of the details, you will ensure important deadlines are met while being provided the flexibility to perform complex clerical tasks in ways that work best for you. Serving our internal and external customers will be key in this role as you collaborate with your small and supportive team. You will help us fulfill the agency's purpose by initiating documentation for concerns and reviews accurately and efficiently. To be successful in this role, you should have exceptional organizational skills, be comfortable with interpersonal communications for all levels of our organization, provide first-rate customer service, and effectively work under tight deadlines with flexibility and agility.
