Location :

  • Harrisburg, PA Position Type :   Hybrid Hybrid Schedule : Onsite one week a month Contract Length : 1 year + extensions Position Overview : The Business Process Consultant partners with stakeholders to gather requirements, document workflows, and support testing efforts for ServiceNow implementations .
  • This role guides process improvement initiatives, creates training materials, and ensures that solutions meet business needs in an Agile / Scrum environment .

Duties :

  • Gather business requirements for application enhancements, break-fix requests, and process improvements.
  • Translate requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead and support functional testing , including coordination and reporting of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) .
  • Document workflows, processes, and end-user training materials , ensuring knowledge transfer and adoption.
  • Guide stakeholders on ServiceNow capabilities, business process design, and best practices.
  • Lead and collaborate with development teams in the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions.
  • Conduct process reviews , ensuring adherence to enterprise standards, best practices, and Agile principles.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and progress reports to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Ensure ServiceNow solutions meet requirements and are delivered on schedule and within quality standards.
  • Fully document technical and functional designs , test plans, scripts, impact analyses, lessons learned, and best practices.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with technology staff, business owners, project sponsors, vendors, and key clients .
  • Work independently while managing assigned tasks and deliverables.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Azure DevOps (ADO) Testing Module to track work and collaborate effectively.
  • Required Skills :

  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities to guide requirements and process improvement.
  • Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria .
  • Hands-on experience with functional testing and UAT coordination .
  • Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies and participation in Agile ceremonies.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills .
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Azure DevOps (ADO) Testing Module .
  • Preferred Skills :

  • ITIL Foundations certification .
  • Agile or Scrum certification .
  • Experience delivering end-user training and process improvement workshops.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Business Solutions , specifically SAP projects .
  • Knowledge of ITSM practices and methodologies .
