Who We're Looking For
We are looking for passionate and dedicated Support staff (RUNNERS / BUSSERS / BARBACKS ) to join the opening team. Be a part of this truly unique restaurant and work alongside hospitality pioneers and positive team members in an inclusive and professional environment.
Runner / Busser / Barback Responsibilities include :
- Deliver food to guests promptly and correctly, while maintaining the look and quality of the dish from the kitchen to the guest and ensuring hot food arrives hot and cold food arrives cold
- Exhibit full knowledge of the menu and be able to describe every dish and beverage clearly and per management instruction on every presentation, noting all relevant allergy concerns and dietary restrictions for the guest
- Handle all prep for bar and cocktails, including juices, syrups, as well as continuously restocking bar items throughout the shift
- Maintain clean dining room and restaurant by properly cleaning and resetting tables per restaurant standards, as well as assisting servers clear empty guest plates, glasses, and silver from tables
- Multitask between running food, bussing tables, assisting the chef polish and stock plates, assisting guests, making coffee drinks, preparing bread baskets, checking guest restrooms, and all other duties that may be needed to enhance the guest experience, quickly, calmly, and seamlessly
- Respond immediately to guests needs and requests, and promptly communicate any guest concerns with management
- Engage with clients in a warm, friendly and vibrant manner, in line with Marea service and hospitality style
- Report to work punctually as indicated on the schedule and in the correct, clean uniform, while adhering to personal hygiene standards
Runner / Busser / Barback Qualifications and Necessary Skills :
Substantive prior food running and bussing and experience requiredStrong food knowledge with ability to describe enticingly restaurant cuisine and dishesGenuine passion for restaurant hospitality and serviceEnergetic and friendly personality, with strong willingness and ability to work as part of a cohesive team and to support colleagues regardless of role, and a positive communication style.Willingness to embrace change and innovation, and to learn and adapt to new systems and service stepsBroad and flexible availability to workPhysical requirements include : ability to handle and carry trays, smallwares, equipment, or other items up to 50lbs, and to stand, walk up and down stairs, and exert well-paced mobility for extended period of timeWhat We Offer
