The University of Kentucky (UK) invites nominations, inquiries and applications for visionary, collaborative and strategic leaders to serve as the next College of Nursing Dean. UK’s College of Nursing is preparing the next generation of providers, leaders, researchers and policy makers to improve health care delivery, promote nursing excellence, revolutionize health care through scientific discovery and promote the highest levels of wellness. Reporting directly to the provost, the next dean will lead strategic growth in academic and research programs, foster interprofessional collaboration across UK’s health colleges, champion diversity and inclusion, cultivate philanthropic partnerships, and serve as a key advocate for addressing Kentucky’s nursing workforce needs.
Since its founding, the UK College of Nursing has been a trailblazer in nursing education. Home to the nation’s first Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program, Kentucky’s first Ph.D. in Nursing, and a 98.5% NCLEX pass rate, the college is a hub of academic rigor and clinical excellence. With over $36 million in external research funding in the past five years and a robust portfolio of community-based practice initiatives, the college is poised for continued growth and innovation. The College of Nursing currently offers three undergraduate program tracks, Master of Science in Nursing, PhD in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, and postgraduate certificates.
