We are looking for talented engineers with backgrounds in Electrical and Computer Engineering for such roles as Vehicle Systems Engineering, Electrical Design and Release, High Voltage Wire Harness Design and Packaging, Embedded Software Development and Algorithm Research, AUTOSAR Model Based System Design, Validation, Hardware in the Loop Integration, Functional Safety, Vehicle Triage, SWAT and Launch Support, etc.
What you'll be doing
The Electrical Distribution System (EDS) / Wiring Design & Release Engineer-HV(DRE) is responsible to lead the design of the Low / High Voltage wire harness and electrical distribution systems while working with supplier CAD and Engineering Support teams, global Engineering, Program Management, and Manufacturing teams as required to meet program milestones and required tasks.
Responsibilities include :
- Ensure customer specific requirements are met
- Assist functional areas between supplier and customer to meet requirements
- Establish and maintain customer interface on design issues and requirements
- Facilitate review / approval of related documents
- Track and report on program progress to ensure requirements are met in a timely manner
- Support pre-launch builds as well as product launches as required
- Customer support for current production product concerns as required
- Performs duties as directed in support of assigned programs and projects
- Maintains a positive and respectful attitude
- Communicates regularly with supervisor about departmental and workload issues
- Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
- Consistently reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of the position
What you need for this position
Required :
BSEE or BSME3+ years automotive low Voltage Wire Harness Design, Routing, and Packaging experience3+ years automotive high Voltage Wire Harness Design, Routing, and Packaging experience with focus on common high Voltage connector systems requirements and solutionsKnowledge of Design APQP requirements (e.g. DFMEA, DVP&R)Experience with OEM change process, including change request, change control, and approval processesBachelor's degree in engineering with adequate, relative on-the-job experienceGeneral computer skillsExperienced skillset in Siemens CAPITAL tool chainGeneral CAD skills (CATIA, Solid works, etc.)Good organizational skillsPreferred :
