Responsibilities
- LEADERSHIP & EXCELLENCE IN QUALITY CARE - Providing leadership and oversight to all operational departments within the facility. This includes :
Conducting all job responsibilities in accordance with TLC Management's Code of Business Conduct and applicable laws and professional standards
Being familiar with all operational details of the center and directing each department head; providing direction and upgrading roles and usefulnessFunctioning as the leader and final decision maker for the facility's department heads and / or supervisory team while encouraging collaborative discussionsCollaborating with the DON and Nursing Leadership to ensure quality patient care is delivered in a timely and safe mannerAiming to achieve zero in-house acquired wounds with daily skin care monitoringPracticing motivational leadership and integrity; serving as a role model for the facilityDeveloping and implementing a plan of correction from the annual family satisfaction surveyDeveloping the management team through compassion and accountabilityPerforming annual and periodic performance evaluations for direct reportsMaintaining records, implementing systems, and ensuring administrative complianceUsing financial reports to manage budgetsPublic relations : communicating with residents, families, staff, physicians, and external agenciesMinimum Qualifications / Requirements
Educational and licensure requirementsB.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited college / university
Licensure as Health Facility Administrator (HFA) in the state of employment, or willingness to apply for temporary licensure and pass the exam if licensed in another stateAdministrative and managerial skillsAbility to organize and cultivate a positive atmosphere
Ability to implement activities and programsAbility to make independent decisions and remain calm under pressureAbility to interpret budgets and perform basic mathDiscretion and HIPAA / compliance awarenessStrong interpersonal skills with residents, families, staff, and the publicKnowledge of administrative practices and guidelinesProficiency with computers and common softwareDesired qualificationsAt least 3 years of leadership / supervisory experience in a nursing home or long-term care
