I PS – RMB Products is seeking a CNC Machinist who is responsible for operating conventional, special purpose, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines and machining centers to fabricate non-metallic parts. This position does require overtime.

Job Accountabilities :
- Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
- Decipher mathematical concepts, such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane
- Critically think through problem-solving and respond to a variety of concrete variables where only limited standardization exists
- Machine Set-up and Operation (includes but not limited to) :
- Job preparation : gathering materials, tooling to run specific job, verify tooling is available, and pre-kit for upcoming jobs
- Set-up : load material and establish part origin and tool length offsets
- Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines, e.g. : mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers
- Operates machines for a trial-run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data
- Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, to which, adjusts machine controls or control media as required
- 1st article run of parts and follow-up adjustments as needed
- Uses micrometers and calipers to measure : will mark and scribe dimensions for reference points on material or work piece for guides for subsequent machining
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications :
Education : Highschool or GED equivalent
Years’ Experience : 4 - 8 years of related experience and / or training
Skills :
Proven experience setting up and operating 3-axis and 5-axis CNC routers and mills in a production environmentStrong knowledge of plastic materials and their machining properties, with hands-on experience in manufacturing plastic componentsFamiliarity with aerospace industry standards, including tight tolerances, quality control, and documentation practicesDemonstrated ability to set up CNC machines, including :Loading and verifying CNC programsInstalling and aligning fixtures according to setup sheetsSelecting, installing, and adjusting tooling to match program requirementsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsRequires a flexible and cooperative attitude, which includes when asked to perform other duties or tasks that are not listed within this job description but within the scope of this positionCommunication skills both written and orally in the English languageMulti-task with great attention to detail to tasks ensuring industry standards for a quality product and customerRequires personal responsibility and accountability meeting workmanship standards with little supervision to complete assignmentsMust maintain the confidentiality of all projects, customers, and RMBMust understand and follow oral and written instructions of the Aerospace Value Stream Manager, Manager’s representative, or customerRequires excellent safety practices, which includes keeping a clean work areaMust maintain the confidentiality of all projects, customers, and RMBWorking knowledge of MS Office software and other documentation programsAbility to read and interpret documents, diagrams, and procedure manualsAdequately write routine reports and correspondenceBenefits :
