Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven VP of Business Development & Marketing to set and execute the organization’s growth strategy. Reporting to the CEO, this leader will own the full growth engine—referral development, partnerships, community engagement, brand and demand generation, and patient acquisition / retention—across our multi-site healthcare footprint. The ideal candidate blends executive-level business development expertise with modern healthcare marketing, brings a deep passion for community impact, be hands on, and has a proven record of driving sustained revenue growth.
Primary Responsibilities
Leadership
- Build, lead, and scale a high-performing Growth organization (field business development, referral / partnerships, community outreach, digital marketing, brand / communications).
- Develop org design, hiring plans, coaching, and succession planning; set clear OKRs and performance standards.
- Manage all business development and marketing employees.
- Define and execute the multi-year growth strategy for existing sites and new market expansion, including service-line growth, referral mix optimization, and market prioritization.
- Own the enterprise go-to-market plan (positioning, messaging, routes to market, outreach models).
- Establish, deepen, and scale referral sources and strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, health systems, payors, employers, schools, community organizations, and government entities—initially focused on DFW.
- Lead partnership negotiations and renewals in coordination with executive leadership and legal / compliance.
Brand, Demand & Digital
Own the brand strategy and integrated marketing plan across digital (SEO / SEM / PPC, social, content, email), website, and traditional channels to drive patient volume and retention.Oversee website strategy, design, and performance; supervise digital marketing and external agencies / vendors; ensure best-in-class patient experience and conversion across the funnel.Community Engagement & Events
Set strategy and standards for community engagement, sponsorships, health fairs, outreach programs, and thought-leadership events to elevate awareness and drive referrals.Data, Analytics & Forecasting
Establish dashboards and rhythms for pipeline, conversion, referral trends, patient acquisition cost (CAC), ROMI, and market insights.Drive a test-and-learn culture (A / B testing, audience segmentation) and rigorous CRM hygiene, forecasting, and attribution.Cross-Functional Alignment
Partner closely with clinical operations, revenue cycle, finance, and HR to ensure growth plans are executable and aligned with access, capacity, and quality.Support new site launches (market assessment, referral mapping, pre-open marketing, ramp plans).Own the Business Development & Marketing budget; allocate resources to maximize ROI and growth.Select and manage agencies and technology partners (CRM, marketing automation, analytics, reputation management).Executive / Board Reporting & Compliance
Provide regular growth updates and strategic recommendations to the executive team and Board.Ensure all outreach and marketing practices comply with applicable healthcare regulations and organizational policies.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field; MBA / MPH preferred.10+ years of progressive experience in business development, marketing, or sales within healthcare (multi-site or service-line growth preferred), including strong focus on referral source development. Experience in Behavioral Health preferred.5+ years leading business development teams and leaders with a track record of hiring, mentoring, and scaling high-performing organizations.Must have experience leading digital and print marketing initiatives.Demonstrated success creating and executing market expansion, partnership, and go-to-market strategies with measurable revenue impact.Deep knowledge of digital growth levers (SEO, PPC / SEM, social, content, email), funnel optimization, and web conversion.Proficiency with CRM and analytics / BI tools (e.g., Salesforce / HubSpot; Excel, PowerBI); strong command of data-driven decision-making.Exceptional executive presence, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work cross-functionally and build trusted relationships with providers, communities, and partners.Must reside within the DFW area and be open to traveling up to ~75–80%.Competitive payMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with employer matchVoluntary / supplemental insurance optionsEmployee assistance programHealth savings accountPaid time offBonus compensationSchedule

This position supervises all business development and marketing team members.
Physical Demands
