Punch Press Operator Weekend Shift

What you'll be responsible for :

• Effectively reading and interpreting blueprints
• Efficiently setting up, adjusting, and operating a computer-controlled NC punch machine
• Readily making adjustments as needed
• Clearly writing inspection sheets
• Diligently inspecting parts using precision measuring equipment and document inspection data
• Performing daily and weekly maintenance as it relates to NC punch equipment
• Creating successful programs off of priority dispatch
• Sharpening tooling and properly filling out order sheets to maintain tooling inventory
• Keeping a clean and organized work area at all times

What will make you a strong candidate and a solid fit for the EK team?

Education & Experience - You have a one-year certificate from a college or technical school; a minimum of six months to one year of related experience and / or training and a high school diploma or GED; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Communication & Analytical Skills - You can understand and follow simple instructions communicated in various ways including memos, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. You should also have the ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information, one-on-one, to other employees here at EK.

Mathematical Requirements - Our new NC Punch Machine Operator will add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals frequently. You will need an understanding of and the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.

Reasoning & Problem Solving - You can apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
