Job Description

Essential Duties and Tasks

  • Conduct experiments and lab work to develop and test active / intelligent packaging solutions.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of case studies to showcase innovative packaging developments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm ideas, solve technical challenges, and drive project success.
  • Research and stay informed about industry trends, advancements in food safety, and packaging technology.
  • Document experimental procedures, results, and observations accurately and consistently.
  • Analyze experimental data and prepare clear summaries of findings.
  • Present project updates and results to stakeholders in a clear, professional manner.
  • Support the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and prototypes for internal and external use.
  • Contribute creative ideas to improve processes, packaging performance, and sustainability initiatives.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Education, or Experience

\n

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Packaging Science, Materials Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to follow documented policies and procedures.
  • Trouble shooting / problem solving skills.

    Work Environment

    \n

    Work primarily in a climate controlled indoor environment with minimal safety / health hazard potential. Hearing protection, safety shoes and vision protection as required.

    \n

    This role operates in a professional office environment that requires some exposure to a manufacturing environment. Employee is rarely exposed to non-toxic / nuisance smells from chemicals, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, high noise levels and hot / humid environmental conditions in the manufacturing area.
