The Community Living Instructor will provide quality psychiatric care to individuals who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis that is present to the regional Behavioral Health Crisis Center (BHCC). This care will be individualized to the specific needs of each individual served at the BHCC. This position will work under the direct supervision of the local BHCC Triage Clinician Lead. Training is centered on interventions designed to provide appropriate care for adults presenting with a variety of needs, cognitive abilities, and diagnoses.
- This is a PRN position. 16 hours / month minimum requirement.

Comfortable providing care to individuals experiencing behavioral health crisisInteract with individuals to ensure they are comfortable, having daily needs met while providing oversight for safety purposesCompletes a minimum of 52 educational activities per year and participants in 1 hour mandatory training monthlyParticipates in Level One Medication Aid (L1MA) training and performs all L1MA activities on shift, as neededProvides feedback to focus on enhancing patient care to direct supervisorParticipates in mandatory overtime (if / when needed)Acts as a preceptor and mentor to new employees as neededParticipates on interdisciplinary team by providing patient information and recommendations to the Treatment TeamWrites legiblyCommunicates appropriately with patients and co-workersFollows all policy and procedures while on shiftSupports in keeping BHCC tidy and cleanOther duties as assigned
