Description :

Responsible for transporting and relocating product from base to established destination(s) and ensuring inventory accuracy.

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Safely operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize product.
  • Work closely with production to ensure product is taken to and from production in a timely manner.
  • Count, weigh and / or measure incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information.
  • Responsible for all product and material within assigned work area this includes, but not limited to, inventory levels, product location, warehousing and proper product rotation.
  • Inspect forklifts daily to ensure proper and safe operation.
  • Follow instructions to ascertain raw materials and other materials needed for daily production.
  • Ensure production personnel obtain needed supplies and materials in a timely manner.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

  • Skilled in operating a forklift or other material handling equipment preferred.
  • Strong Interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and within a team-based environment.
  • Utilize safe operating skills.
  • Follow all company safety policy / procedure / rule / regulation.
  • Ability to become PIT Certified required.

    • Education & Experience :

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior forklift operator experiences preferred.
  • Manufacturing and / or Poultry Industry experience a plus.
