Job Description

KadaN Productions is seeking an LED / Small Electronics Tech full or part time. Candidates MUST have 3-5 years of low voltage experience specifically in LED Tape, traditional lighting, dimmers, power distribution, motor controls, and PLC programming.

KadaN Productions is a premier special event fabrication company creating a variety of installations. Installations require a large variety of electrical devices / services, and as well LED lighting to be incorporated into many scenic pieces. Problem-solving skills and adaptability are crucial, as the work often requires on-the-spot adjustments and creative solutions. Candidate will be working mostly in a 75,000 sqft. fully equipped workshop environment based in Secaucus, NJ, working under the supervision of the Senior Lighting Manager. Ability to finish a variety of large- and small-scale installations to the highest standards and to tight timescales.

AutoCAD drafting, and project planning experience, automation, rigging, motor design, installation and experience in the event industry is preferred but not required

Essential – Required Skills

• College Education or equivalent trade school
• 3-5 years' experience specifically in LED Tape, traditional LED lighting, dimmers, power distribution, motor controls, and PLC programming
• 3 years experience with small electronics soldering
• 2-3 years of freelance experience in event production both onsite and prep
• Strong knowledge of power calculations, soldering, signal distribution, and some fundamentals of DC & AC electronics
• Basic understanding of event lighting programming
• Ability to go on site when needed to install final wiring + programming
• Physically capable of undertaking the requirements of the position including lifting, bending, stretching and reaching for long periods of time
• Able to work at height on ladders and access platforms
• Ability to read and understand CAD Drawings, read and understand Build Drawings
• Ability to work from scale drawings, models, plans, sketches, verbal ideas and references
• Adhere to safety standards and proper handling of equipment and gear
• Ability to organize / prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously on the job
• Strong work ethic, effective time management skills, desire to deliver reliable and visually appealing product, create a positive work environment and the ability to work as part of a team in a busy workshop environment and
