Position Function :
The purpose of this position is to lead and assist with the delivery of parenting, child development, and adult relationship education to individuals contending with social and economic adversity in Mississippi. The focus of this work will include, but not be limited to, promoting stable and well-functioning families, preventing child abuse, and cultivating trauma-informed systems. This employee will assist with the Trauma-Informed Parenting and Professional Strategies (TIPPS) Extension family life education program.
This position will be administratively and programmatically responsible to the State Family Life Specialist and will be housed in the School of Human Sciences. The position is 100% Extension with the primary aim of implementing healthy family relationship programming supported by state and / or federal grants. Continued employment past 1-year is dependent on renewed funding.
