Kimley-Horn's Fort Worth, Texas (TX) office is seeking an Environmental Scientist with 3+ years of experience to join their Environmental team! This is not a remote position.

- Our team is responsible for multiple levels of environmental due diligence and permitting, and this role will be a leader on these projects with opportunities to interface directly with clients and other stakeholders
- You will work closely and collaboratively with other industry-leading professionals, agencies, various jurisdictions, and contractors.
Responsibilities
Adhere to the contract budget set by the client and demonstrate strong project management knowledgeProduce and / or lead the production of technical reports, permit submittals, and client meeting preparation.Attend meetings and communicate with clients, government entities, and various regulatory agencies to fulfill any regulations and requirements relating to projectsMonitor project progress, budgets, and schedulesLead field teams in aquatic resource delineations, listed species habitat assessments, Phase I ESAs, and other reconnaissance as necessitated by the projectInstill a sense of client service and urgency for projects in less experienced staff.Ability to manage multiple projects at a given time and prioritize tasks and deadlines.#LI-TD
Qualifications
3+ years of relevant experience, including federal wetlands documentation and permittingBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Geography, Ecology, Botany, Biology, or a related fieldThreatened and endangered species survey and / or consultation experience (preferred)Certified Wildlife Biologist (preferred but not required)Ecological field work experience including leading aquatic resource delineations, listed species habitat assessments, and / or Phase I ESAsDemonstrated technical writing skills and experience writing detailed technical reportsWorking knowledge or strong interest in ArcGISEnjoy working in both an office environment and in the field, with field work being done in a variety of conditions (heat, cold,Interest in working with planners and designers to avoid and minimize ecological impacts in accordance with local, state, and federal regulationsWillingness and flexibility to travel for projects as needed (locally and overnight)Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlinesDesire to provide exceptional client serviceStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to enjoy work independently and on a team
