Bezalel Rehabilitation and Nursing , is seeking a Full Time Food Service Director. The Food Service Director (FSD) is responsible for managing the food service operation of our Skilled Nursing Facility. The FSD must meet all regulatory requirements, health standards, and maintain quality food service within budget. The FSD must consistently endeavor to deliver nutritious food, expert management, and superior service to our clients and staff and comfortable operating a kosher kitchen.
Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to :
- Overseeing food preparation, portion sizes, and the overall presentation of food;
- Knowledge of regulating compliance and its application to food service operations;
- Hiring Staff and contractors for quality nutritional services;
- Ensure employee’s compliance with health and food safety standards and regulations;
- Investigating and resolving complaints regarding food quality or service;
- Assess patients' nutritional needs and develop comprehensive dietary care plans tailored to individual health conditions.
- Do meal rounds, observing appearance, quantity, and temperature, and sampling the food to estimate its palatability.
- Assists in the preparation of menus and recipe analysis
- Planning and preparation of modified diets as prescribed by medical staff and residents with therapeutic diet needs.
- Proficiency with Sigma EMR
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while supervising dietary staff effectively.
- Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of dietary service areas; must perform regular inspections of dietary service areas for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, and family members.
- Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
- Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the Dietary Services Department.
- knowledge of infection control practices to ensure the safety and satisfaction of our residents.
Qualifications :
Proven experience in Long Term Care (food and nutrition).Must be CDM certified.A current ServSafe certification.An Equal Employment Employer
