Instructional Designer

From eLearning design and content development to facilitating engaging sessions and supporting learning programs, you'll play a key role in how our teams learn, perform, and thrive.

What You'll Do

Design and develop engaging learning content across multiple formats, including eLearning, instructor-led, blended, and virtual training.

Partner with business stakeholders to assess learning needs and recommend effective instructional strategies.

Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theory to create impactful, easy-to-understand materials.

Develop and maintain content for topics such as product knowledge, operational processes, technical training, and leadership development.

Support Train-the-Trainer programs with facilitator guides, participant materials, and visual aids.

Manage multiple projects, timelines, and content updates to ensure training materials are accurate and up to date.

Facilitate webinars and training sessions as needed to support the rollout and adoption of new programs.

Ensure all content aligns with company learning standards and reflects the Batteries Plus brand and culture.

What Powers You

Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum of 1 year of experience designing and developing training content across multiple delivery formats.

Proficiency with Articulate Storyline 360; experience with Camtasia, Captivate, or Photoshop preferred.

Basic understanding of HTML and Learning Management Systems (LMS) functionality.

Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Familiarity with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools.

Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional best practices.
