Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Position Title : Cardiac Cath Lab RN

Location : Granite City, IL

Schedule : Monday - Friday shift 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 00 PM - No weekends

Our primary function is to offer continuous nursing, medical, and other health and social services on a 24-hour basis, under physician directed care and RN supervision.

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.

Assists physicians during examinations and procedures.

Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.

Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.

Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within Cardiac Cath Lab.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Associates degree in nursing, Bachelors degree preferred.

ACLS and Illinois RN License required.

Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred.
