Description :
Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the Controller. The ideal candidate will bring a high level of accuracy, solid understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills.
Major Responsibilities :
- Prepare and post general ledger journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare month end journal entries, accruals and adjustments
- Assist in the month end closing and financial reporting process, including responsibility for account analysis and account reconciliation
- Reconcile bank transactions and bank statements, including matching daily transactions to proper support, researching items when necessary
- Maintaining fixed asset records and depreciation schedules as internal policy and US GAAP dictates
- Review of AP and AR transactions as needed
- Enter AP invoices or create AR invoices as needed
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Participate in financial audits
- Assist with special projects
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or determined by management

Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required3 to 5 years of Full Cycle Accounting or related experienceRestaurant / Hospitality experience preferred but not requiredMulti-unit experience preferredAbility to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalismProficient in MS Excel, Word and OutlookExperience with accounting software or ERP systemHighly familiar with spreadsheet creation, formatting, and functionalityExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentExperience in hospitality preferred but not requiredSuperior organization skillsReliable with patience and professionalismPhysical Demands :
