Mercy Health – Perrysburg Hospital is actively recruiting a Fellowship-trained Breast Surgeon who is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery (ABS) and passionate about delivering comprehensive, patient-centered breast cancer care. This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in the continued development and expansion of a thriving multidisciplinary Oncology Program within one of Ohio’s largest healthcare systems.
As a dedicated breast surgeon , you will have the support, mentorship, and robust clinical infrastructure to provide high-quality care to the Northwest Ohio community. Position Highlights :
- Outpatient Focused Practice : Provide comprehensive breast surgical care in a well-established ambulatory oncology setting, including in-person and virtual visits.
- Surgical Expertise : Perform outpatient and inpatient breast procedures, surgeries, and inpatient rounding.
- Consultative Services : Provide inpatient consultations and participate in post-operative call coverage as needed (low call burden).
- Education & Teaching : Actively engage in resident education through didactics, clinical instruction, rounding, and journal clubs. Direct involvement with General Surgery residents.
- Leadership Opportunity : Eligible to serve as Medical Director for the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) , helping lead quality improvement and program growth initiatives.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration : Work alongside Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Breast Navigators, Genetic Counselors, Dietitians, Social Workers, and APCs to provide holistic patient care.
