Technician – Noise and Vibration / Chassis Dyno

The technician will be responsible for working within the Noise and Vibration / Chassis Dyno Lab to ensure 1st time quality and on-time delivery of test data for the various test areas. Support various engineering groups that are responsible for meeting federal requirements and internal requirements. Technicians need to demonstrate a high level of communication and interpersonal skills to effectively handle multiple projects with minimal supervision all while working with various organizations during the vehicle development process.

This group runs a schedule and work ticket system : the engineering team will schedule time in the dyno, the schedule is posted online. The technician will be assigned a work ticket, get everything ready to test, sometimes bouncing between cells. They might be working in one dyno cell and then go to another cell to assist another team. This person will work 1-5 in a week, but the number of tests for each ticket can vary depending on what the data shows and what they need to change based on the data.

Requirements :

Associate’s Degree or higher

5-7 years experience : Instrumentation, Data acquisition, Chassis dyno

Able to be L2 Certified to drive on a test track

Willing / able to travel for 2-3 weeks at a time in the winter months
