Employee Benefits Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager to manage and retain a book of group benefits clients while delivering high-touch, customer-centric service. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills, a thorough understanding of benefits regulations, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and service existing group benefits accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for clients
  • Conduct presentations for new business, renewals, and open enrollment meetings
  • Prepare quotes and proposals for group health and ancillary benefits
  • Respond to client inquiries related to claims, eligibility, coverage, and costs
  • Accurately enter and update client data in the agency management system
  • Stay current with federal / state regulations and industry trends impacting employee benefits
  • Maintain strong relationships with carriers and vendors to ensure timely issue resolution
  • Uphold client confidentiality and ensure all work complies with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support client initiatives and continuous process improvements

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Active Life & Health License required
  • 3+ years of experience in employee benefits account management
  • Proven experience managing client relationships and servicing group benefits accounts
  • In-depth knowledge of benefits regulations and quoting / renewal processes
  • Experience with BenefitPoint or similar agency management systems preferred
  • Professional designations are a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
