Site Manager Position In Athletics
The site manager position in athletics will include responsibilities associated with the total organization of youth, adult athletic leagues, and special events. The position will assist with the administration and facility management of the athletic fields and facilities during departmental programming and facility rentals.
Responsibilities will include program administration, program supervision and evaluation, monitoring facilities, customer service, officer responsibilities, special projects needed for specific areas, and research. Ability to collaborate with other program areas within the Recreation Division, as well as with the Parks Division's Field Maintenance. Other related work is required.
Knowledge and skills : Strong computer skills and cash handling experience are helpful. Multi-task oriented is a must. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, in an outdoor environment. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods without sitting.
Minimum requirements : You must be at least 18 years of age, have a strong interest and knowledge of the different sports offered to the public. Candidates should be task and project-oriented, possess good organizational and communication skills, and be able to complete assigned tasks without supervision. A good driving record is needed to obtain a city driver's license. Candidates must also pass a background check and drug test as a term of employment. CPR / First Aid certification preferred. The candidate needs a flexible schedule to fulfill position duties.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations : Must have a valid driver's license.
ADA and other requirements : Positions in this class typically require climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Medium work : Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Visual acuity : The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform one or more of the following : preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, transcription, computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, operation of machines (including inspection using measurement devices), assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
Working conditions : The worker is subject to both environmental conditions : Activities occur inside and outside. The worker is required to wear eye protection, safety shoes, a hard hat, protective clothing, and hand protection.
