Hospitalist Job Details – Dixon, IL

Position : Locum Tenens Hospitalist Physician

Location : Dixon, IL 61021 (Illinois hospitalist jobs)

Assignment Dates : October 16, 2025 – January 15, 2026

Shift : 12-hour day shifts (7a–7p)

Specific Dates Needed : December 1, 2, 23, 24, 25 (2 shifts), and 26

Hours per Week : Approximately 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $5,860–$6,940 per week

Setting : Open ICU with eICU backup (hospitalist physician, ICU experience preferred)

Employment Type : Travel / Locum Tenens Hospitalist

Hospitalist Physician Requirements

Active Illinois medical license (MD or DO required for hospitalist jobs in Illinois)

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

Minimum 1 year of hospitalist experience preferred

Proficient in managing all codes on the hospital floor

Availability for all listed shift dates is required

Key Responsibilities for Hospitalist Physicians

Deliver comprehensive clinical management for hospitalized adult patients

Act as the primary point of contact for patients, families, and the healthcare team

Coordinate patient care and treatment throughout the hospital stay

Perform patient admissions (ED physicians do not admit)

Respond to and manage all codes on the floor (ED support available as needed)

No procedures required for this hospitalist position

Collaborate with an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) during the day; solo coverage at night
