Job Description & Requirements

• Duration : 13 weeks
• 48 hours per week
• Shift : 12 hours, nights
• Employment Type : Travel
• Required experience : PCU RN 1 year of nursing experience
• Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, if greater than 1 year of experience
• 1st time traveler MUST have EPIC experience
• Travelers must live 100 miles away from the facility
• Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler
• Patient Types :
• Mixed unit (Med / Surg to IMC level, as well as Long Length stay patients) : ratios dependent on acuity
• 90% MEDSURG; 10% INTERMEDIATE CARE - traveler will care for all acuity levels
• Common diagnoses include, but are not limited to :
• DKA requiring insulin drips, Pre / post-surgical patients, cellulitis, influenza, UTIs, pneumonia, COPD, CHF, renal failure with or without the need for hemodialysis, hepatic failure, gastrointestinal disorders and infections, soft tissue injury and minor fractures, and DVTs. Also, can see CVA overflow.
