Permanent Hematology / Oncology Physician – $150K Bonus + $454K Base | Mason City, IA

Location :  Mason City, Iowa

Schedule :  Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 9-hour days

Visa Support :  H1B & J1 Sponsorship Available

Position Overview

Join the  leading regional cancer center  in North Iowa, serving a population of over  260,000 . This is a  primarily outpatient   Hematology / Oncology position offering  excellent work-life balance , strong infrastructure, and a  collaborative care environment —all within a recently renovated, state-of-the-art facility.

Practice Highlights

Practice Type :  Outpatient-focused (minimal inpatient)

Daily Volume :  12–16 adult / geriatric patients

Specialty Mix :  ~50% Hematology / 50% Oncology

Call :  5–6 days / month, 1 holiday / year,  phone only , post-call day off

Procedures :  VAD / CV catheter management, intrathecal chemo

Team :  4 Hem / Onc MDs, 2 Radiation Oncologists, 4 APPs

Support :  Full staff including dietitians, social workers, financial counselors, and more

EMR :  Mosaiq

Education :  Opportunity to teach CRNA students

Tumor Board :  Weekly participation

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary :  $454,329 (MGMA 50th percentile)

Commencement Bonus :  Up to $150,000

CME :  $4,000 / year

PTO :  34 days / year

Retirement :  403(b) with employer contribution + match; 457(b) available

Malpractice Insurance :  Provided with tail coverage

Cost of living is ~24% below national average.

Candidate Requirements

BE / BC in Hematology & Oncology  (ABIM or AOBIM)

(Board Certification required within 3 years if BE)

Iowa license or IMLC eligibility

BLS, DEA, CDS certification  (or willing to obtain)

Not accepting locums
