Job Description

The Network Administrator maintains and supports COMNAVSURFLANTs in-house and shipboard network infrastructure, ensuring compliance with Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements. This role provides security updates, troubleshooting, and Wi-Fi management across CNSL systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and secure in-house network devices to maintain ATO compliance.
  • Apply and push security policy updates to shipboard Wi-Fi systems.
  • Conduct periodic maintenance and performance checks on CNSL networks.
  • Provide timely resolution for network and connectivity issues.
  • Maintain network diagrams, security configurations, and equipment logs.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Experience in network administration and cybersecurity
  • Familiarity with Navy communications systems preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills

    • Required DoD Systems, Tools, and Framework Experience

    Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls

  • DoD RMF (DODI 8510.01) and Authority to Operate (ATO) processes
  • DISA STIGs for Network Devices
  • Navy ACAS / VRAM scanning tools
  • Microsoft 365 and Active Directory integration
