Scope of Position :

The Receptionist provides essential administrative and clerical support to ensure efficient daily operations within the office and manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for managing front desk activities, directing communications, and assisting various departments with general administrative tasks. The Receptionist supports the coordination of office functions, helps maintain organization across departments, and contributes to a professional and well-run workplace that supports the company's manufacturing operations.

Principal Responsibilities :

  • Greet and assist visitors, clients, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Answer, screen, and direct phone calls; take messages and route calls appropriately.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
  • Maintain the reception area and common office spaces in a clean and organized manner.
  • Support general office administrative functions, including filing, document preparation, scanning, and data entry.
  • Assist with preparing conference rooms for meetings, and coordinating refreshments or materials as needed.
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties as assigned.
  • Be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.

Competencies :

  • Proven work experience as a receptionist, or similar role.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent customer service attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers).
  • Solid keyboard skills, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.

    Supervisory Responsibility :

    There are no supervisory responsibilities with this role.

    Work Environment :

    This job operates in a professional office environment with a manufacturing facility. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, photocopiers and smartphones.

    Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages and other items and to walk short distances.

    Position Type / Expected Hours of Work :

    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm. Some overtime required as business needs dictate

    Travel :

    There is no travel required with this position.

    Education and Experience :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of experience in an administrative, receptionist, or office support role preferred.
