Must possess an excellent understanding of Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product. Experience with other diesel engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, & International are a plus. Other mechanical skills desired but not essential : Hydraulics, Brakes & Suspension, Manual Transmissions, Drive Train, and Automatic Transmissions. This is an atmosphere that is driven by customer satisfaction, accuracy of diagnostics, and efficient repairs. If you feel like you have this to offer and more, please apply. Must be physically able to lift and work with no restrictions. Technical degree or certification a plus. Positive attitude and the ability to set goals and accomplish them. Interstate Power System’s is looking for Diesel Mechanic(s) for our Fargo North Dakota location with a minimum of 3-5 years of Light or Heavy Duty diesel experience. If you are a Diesel Mechanic / Technician who specializes in Freightliner, Detroit, Allison, Cummins, CAT products, MTU and more we are offering highly competitive wages!
Scheduled Shift : Monday-Friday
Pay Range : $30 - $40 per hour DOE

Diesel Mechanic / Technician Job Duties :
- Responsible for repairing, maintaining diesel engines and diesel components used in various vehicles and diesel equipment.
- Accurately and efficiently diagnose complex diesel engine conditions and make necessary repairs.
- Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding those repairs.
- Quality control work performed to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
- Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion.
- Meet requirements for certifications.
