Tax Manager
Overview
We are seeking a seasoned tax professional to lead and manage all aspects of tax operations, including compliance, accounting, and strategic planning. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, can manage competing priorities, and is passionate about driving process improvements. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, external service providers, and senior leadership to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns, managing third-party providers to ensure timely and accurate filings.
Lead the preparation and review of the tax provision, coordinating with external partners to meet reporting deadlines.
Manage key tax attributes and ensure alignment across monthly close, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
Review and interpret book-to-tax differences and ensure accurate accounting treatment.
Reconcile tax provision to tax return and manage true-up processes.
Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations and ensure timely tax payments.
Provide regular updates and insights on tax operations to leadership.
Support strategic tax planning and financial planning & analysis (FP&A) initiatives.
Drive process improvements and automation within tax operations, collaborating with accounting, IT, and business teams.
Manage federal and state income tax audits, including scope, sampling, and data collection strategies.
Oversee tax-related components of financial statement audits (global and U.S. standalone).
Research and respond to tax notices in a timely manner.
Stay current on tax regulations and best practices through continuous learning.
Lead or contribute to ad hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; Master’s in Business Taxation preferred.
CPA certification required.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant tax experience, including leadership in tax compliance and accounting.
Public accounting firm experience preferred.
Experience with international tax matters is a plus.
Proficiency with ERP systems required; SAP experience preferred.
Proven ability to work hands-on in a team-oriented environment.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Pay Details : $140,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year
