Gardner Health Services is currently recruiting to fill a Family Partner ( Counselor I / Mental Health Specialist) positions. This is a full-time, 40 hour / week position. This position will wok in the Family and Children Division of the Behavioral Health Department located at 160 E. Virginia Street, Suite 280 San Jose, CA 95112. This position provides assessments and related psycho social services to children, adolescents and their families. The position will be part of a multi-disciplinary team and perform the job duties outlined in the attached job description. The primary goal of this program is to provide child safety and to work with the community to provide immediate linkages and resources to support families with children. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and strong empathic approach to helping others. This position will require flexibility with work hours and scheduling to allow for the greatest service delivery to families.

Minimum Qualifications :

The minimum qualifications of these positions are listed below. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Counselor :

• High School Graduate or GED
• Bilingual in Spanish required
• Certification as a Counselor is preferred
• Experience in social services in a community setting with families and children is preferred.

Mental Health Specialist :

Compensation :

Compensation and level of position placement will be determined based on relevant experience and education.

Counselor I - $42,938.95 - $49,778.01 / Annually

MHS : $67,513.76 - $78,266.96 / Annually
