About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : RN

Specialty : Cardiology / IMC Stepdown

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12H Day / Night Rotate Every Other Weekend and Holiday

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

Experience : Minimum 2 years of ICU / IMC / Cardiology experience

License : ND or compact state RN license required

Certifications : BLS and ACLS (AHA) required; TNCC preferred

Must-Have :

All clinicians must badge in and out of the facility.

This location does not accept local travelers with permanent addresses within 80 miles.

Competency in central line cares, chest tubes, foleys, ART lines, trach cares, vents, proning, pressors, sedation, Impella, and balloon pumps required.

Description :

Ensure provider orders are maintained.

Assist with intubations, central line insertions, ART line insertions, chest tube insertions, and titrating medications.

Foley catheter insertion is required.

Equipment utilized in this unit includes EPIC Charting, Omnicell, Alaris IV pumps, ventilators, and central monitoring systems.

The bed size for this unit is 14 beds, including 11 single rooms and 1 suite with 3 beds.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is standard 1 : 2, with some patients at 1 : 1 for fresh hearts, unstable trauma patients, and unstable CRRT cases.

Typically, there is a charge nurse available to assist primary nurses.

Staff will attend trauma codes, rapid responses, and code blues throughout the facility.

There will be a 24-hour intensivist present and one APP during the day shift.

Two respiratory therapists are assigned and working within the unit.

Cancellation policy allows for client cancellation up to 12 hours every 13 weeks.
