The role of the Senior Accountant is to perform monthly consolidation and financial reporting, assist in technical accounting analysis and research projects, take ownership of equity accounting, and drive continuous improvement in the financial reporting process. The Senior Accountant will help improve month-end close process, internal controls, and provide practical guidance in support of strategic initiatives. This full-time position reports to the Manager of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the Finance team working to streamline and shorten the monthly close and reporting cycle
• Assist in any monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting including annual audited financial statements and monthly financial statements
• Assist in pre-IPO or IPO readiness activities (i.e., S-1 involvement, etc.) should the Company plan to enter the public markets
• Assist in the quarterly reviews and annual audit with the external auditors, including preparation of key audit deliverables
• Conduct and document ad hoc technical accounting research of non-routine accounting transactions to conclude on the appropriate application of U.S. GAAP requirements.
• Maintain and update technical accounting positions memos and detail new positions memos
• Assist in the assessment of the impact of new and proposed accounting pronouncements and standards to ensure compliance with SEC and GAAP reporting requirements
